De-matting

  • Matting is dense, tight clumps of fur on your dog or cat’s coat.
  • They can potentially be teased out if caught early
  • If too tight, groomer will discuss the next step with you.
  • We will not de-matt for more than 20 minutes in one grooming session and where this is not possible matts are clipped out.
  • Matts can be extremely painful for dogs/cats, we will ALWAYS put health before vanity.

Fleas

If fleas are found on your dog/cat, we will charge £10 surcharge, this is because:

  • We treat with a specialised shampoo
  • deep clean and spray the salon to ensure fleas are killed

If you suspect fleas please inform us when booking or prior to groom.

Micro-chipping

Tails of Ashgate works closely with PEDDYMARK.

  • Qualified to provide training for microchipping
  • Can microchip puppies and kittens within a quiet room at the salon
  • Training can be given by contacting PEDDYMARK
